A combination therapy for CLL found to be effective
A new study has found that a combination therapy of obinutuzumab and venetoclax is effective in treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
The study, which was published in the journal Blood, involved 179 patients with CLL who were treated with the combination therapy. The results showed that the therapy was well-tolerated and resulted in a high rate of complete remissions.
The study authors now recommend the combination therapy of obinutuzumab and venetoclax as the first-line treatment for patients with CLL.
